the obvious co-opting n theft of Black thought herbalism (Granny / lay midwifery of the American South) n Spiritual practices is what kept me from joining TikTok until last year (n what keeps me from staying more current with anything online) I have Not Been able to find all the words for the overall lack of due diligence

thankfully another woman was able to:

In the same way, I’ve had Black herbalists tell me there’s no reason for us to be in the clinical space because no one wants to be our clients. That belief comes from years of being siphoned for free information and being told we charge too much or that we shouldn’t have a price point at all”
